Polonsky Shifrin Wiley Trio Postponed
Due to the increase in the number of coronavirus cases in PA, we have made a difficult decision to postpone our 3/21 concert with the Polonsky-Shifrin-Wiley Trio. The health of our audience members, performers, volunteers and staff is our top priority. We are also considering “social distancing,” an organizational responsibility, and hope that it will help to slow the spread of the infection.
You may use your tickets for any of MSC’s future performances. You may also request a refund by emailing aquist@marketsquareconcerts.org, or calling (717) 221-9599.
While we are making plans for an alternative date, here is a live performance of the delightfully uplifting Beethoven Piano Trio Op. 11 by the Polonsky-Shifrin-Wiley Trio -

Since all of us will be spending significantly more time at home, we would like to offer you a weekly dose of great chamber music via email in hopes of alleviating some of the stress brought on by our current situation.
We thank you for your support and understanding, and we look forward to seeing you at our future performances!
Warm regards,
Peter and Ya-Ting
For over 37 years, Market Square Concerts has been dedicated to the presentation of a wide repertoire of chamber music performed by distinguished professional artists, both established and emerging. Our mission also includes education and engagement of the general public in chamber music as an art form, as well as collaboration with other arts organizations and community partnerships. With an annual summer festival and six concerts in the regular season, Market Square Concerts presents premieres of newly composed music as well as the monumental works from the most revered composers from the past and present.
In the 2019-20 season Market Square Concerts celebrates inspiration, as well as beguiling and exhilarating surprises brought into our lives by encounters with compelling live performances. The opportunities for memorable musical experiences are plentiful, from recitals by Midori, one of the world’s most celebrated violinists, and cellist Andrei Ioniță, Gold Medal winner of the 2015 Tchaikovsky International Competition, to Grammy-winning Third Coast Percussion ensemble, venerable clarinetist David Shifrin’s new piano trio, award-winning Schumann Quartet and the celebration of Stuart Malina’s 20th year as the Artistic Director of the Harrisburg Symphony with Liebeslieder Waltzes for Piano Four Hands and Four Voices, Brahms’ two sets of most personal love songs. We hope this season’s offerings will inspire, enrich and expand your musical palate.
