Market Square Concerts
Our 2026-27 season celebrates the unique richness of the contemporary American musical landscape. From "Night at the Opera" with the Galvin Cello Quartet and the exuberant virtuosity of saxophonist Valentin Kovalev to Duo Chinoiserie’s mesmerizing combination of guitar and guzheng, our season offers memorable musical experiences designed to inspire and illuminate.We also look forward to welcoming the Arianna and The Indianapolis string quartets, who will perform works by Dohnányi, Gabriela Lena Frank, and Robert Patterson—all new to our audience. In addition, the annual Stuart and Friends program will introduce piano trios by Louise Farrenc and Robert Muszyński along with the celebrated clarinet trio by Brahms.

Due to changes to work authorization rules for foreign students, one of the Galvin Cello Quartet members is not allowed to tour with the ensemble, forcing the group to cancel all upcoming performances including our opening concert.
While we regret this development, we are thrilled to announce that the Terra String Quartet, winner of the Naumburg Chamber Music competition, as well as a prize winner of both Wigmore Hall and Bordeaux string quartet competitions, has graciously agreed to open our season.
